Jixia Shan Datong Hotel

Jixia Shan Datong Hotel

Formed from a courtyard cluster composed of six traditional Shanxi merchant residences, Jixia Shan · Datong is a five-star resort hotel featuring 45 boutique guest rooms. The project integrates local architectural heritage with contemporary design, offering guests an exceptional and immersive comfort experience.

Entrance Courtyard & Reception

The entrance courtyard features rough-textured gray brick paving paired with upholstered sofas and low wooden tables, creating a strong cultural ambiance.

The reception desk combines a sandstone countertop with a matte metal support structure, harmonizing with the hand-painted metal decorative artwork positioned behind it.

Lobby Corridor & Public Areas

Furniture in the lobby corridor primarily utilizes warm, natural wood. The wood used for corridor seating retains its original grain and knots, paired with light gray linen cushions for a balanced and understated aesthetic.

The lobby coffee tables are crafted from reclaimed old elm wood, supported by slender metal frames that visually lighten the mass of the solid timber.

In the restaurant area, dining tables and chairs are made from substantial reclaimed walnut wood. The table legs feature clean, squared lines, while the chair backs incorporate hollow detailing and deep red silk seat cushions. The restaurant chandeliers combine metal frames with frosted glass, softening the heaviness of the materials and presenting a warm, refined texture.

Guest Rooms

The guest rooms create atmosphere through the use of aged wood and terracotta tones. Low platform beds sit close to the floor, with minimalist bed frames crafted from reclaimed elm wood.

Bedside tables are functionally streamlined and paired with terracotta-based table lamps featuring linen lampshades. Lounge seating combines woven rattan with reclaimed wood, complemented by light gray linen cushions.

In the bathroom, wooden cabinetry is paired with sintered stone countertops. Light terracotta-toned tiled walls are combined with frosted glass partitions, achieving a careful balance between practicality and aesthetics.

For this hotel furniture project, Luxefurn extensively utilized local materials such as reclaimed wood and stone. By aligning with contemporary usage habits while honoring regional architectural traditions, the design ensures that each piece of furniture transcends its functional role and collectively contributes to the core identity of the hotel brand.
